This Privacy Policy explains how FreeDatingNow.com (“FreeDatingNow”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use our website, members area and app (the “Service”). By using the Service you acknowledge this policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account data: email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), first name, gender, the gender you are seeking, date of birth, country and city.
• Profile data: photos, headline, bio, what you are looking for, and optional details such as height, body type, education, occupation, relationship goals, smoking, drinking and children.
• Communications: messages you send to other members, reports you submit, and messages you send to us.
• Preferences: your match criteria and notification settings.

Profile information you choose to share, such as relationship goals, may reveal sensitive information (for example about your sexual life). By adding it to your profile you consent to us processing it to provide the Service. You can remove it at any time.

Information collected automatically

• Usage and device data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, dates and times of activity, and profile views.
• Cookies: essential cookies to keep you logged in and secure, and – only with your consent – analytics and advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy.

We remove location metadata (EXIF/GPS) from uploaded photos.

2. How we use information

• To create and run your account and show your profile to compatible members.
• To match you with members based on your preferences and deliver messages.
• To send service emails (account verification, password resets, new message notifications you can switch off).
• To keep the community safe: preventing fraud, spam and abuse, enforcing our Terms and Community Guidelines, and reviewing reports.
• To measure and improve the Service and, with your consent, measure the effectiveness of our advertising.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

We process data to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), for our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improving the Service), with your consent (analytics/advertising cookies, optional sensitive profile details), and to comply with legal obligations.

4. How information is shared

• With other members: your profile (name, age, location, photos and profile details) is visible to logged-in members. Your email address and exact date of birth are never shown.
• Service providers: hosting, email delivery and – if you consent – analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising measurement (Meta Pixel). They may only use the data to provide services to us.
• Legal and safety: where required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our members or others.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising without your consent.

5. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, photos, messages, favorites and related data are permanently deleted from our live systems immediately, and from backups within 30 days. We may keep limited records where required by law or to prevent repeat abuse (for example, a record of a ban).

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR, UK GDPR and California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or download your data, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. You can:

• Edit your profile and preferences at any time in your account.
• Download a copy of your data from Settings → Download my data.
• Delete your account from Settings → Delete account, or follow our data deletion instructions.
• Contact us at support@freedatingnow.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls and rate limiting to protect your data. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

8. Age restriction

The Service is only for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 and will delete any such account we discover.

9. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. If changes are significant we will notify you by email or on the Service. The “Last updated” date shows when it was last changed.
